Big Bee Content is entering 2021 with a renewed commitment to building a better content future.
We did it…We made it through 2020! While the challenge of living and working through a pandemic is by no means over, we can mark the achievements of 2020 with pride.
2020 – the year we stood together, even if only figuratively. The year we collectively rallied against a worldwide threat, smashing scientific and logistical barriers left, right and centre; when community took on a significance most of us have never witnessed in our lives; and we dug deep into our creative mines to adapt for survival. There is much to be proud of.
Big Bee Content launched in this, the most tumultuous of times, with a mission to help SMEs and non-profits to do content the right way. Over the last 9 months our business has been carved by the events of the Covid Pandemic – businesses renewing their online presence, powering up their visibility and developing their content skills.
Planting the seeds of change
We’ve helped plant the seed of commitment with our clients to support their customers with user-friendly content that they can use to improve their lives. We’ve helped businesses understand that generosity of knowledge is as important as ad spend or influencers. We’ve helped public bodies empower staff to create better digital experiences. Find out more about some of the organisations we’ve worked with this year here. The thread that ties it all together is education.
For the past 9 months, we’ve been seeking ways to improve digital education for small businesses. But in 2021 we want to do more. That’s why we’re going to do three things:
1. Be more generous with our expertise
In 2021 we’re going to focus on expanding both the reach and the scope of the Big Bee Blog, our free resource for organisations looking to learn about content. We’ll be introducing guest bloggers, experts in their respective content fields discussing a range of content topics including video production, copywriting, social media, eCommerce, CRM and content design. We are committed to providing information that helps you to support your goals, free from sales pitches – just useful advice.
2. Enhance our online resources
It’s our aim to launch an online learning resource to further empower you to be the master of your own content. Through worksheets, videos and other learning resources we hope to help you gain a deeper understanding of content and its role in developing a brand that people know, like and trust.
3. Donate 5% of profits to the next generation of digital creatives
Digital has enormous potential for good. At a time when traditional education establishments are suffering deep wounds from the Pandemic, we believe it’s essential to bolster the education system and secure the future of a strong digital sector.
Apps for Good is a UK-based charity providing free technology courses for young people to help build a better future. They champion accessible education and create a bridge between educators and businesses and we couldn’t be more proud to commit to donating 5% of our profits in 2021 to this very worthy cause.
Here are a few words from Apps for Good about the partnership:
“Too many young people don’t learn the digital, creative and entrepreneurial skills that they need to thrive. Apps for Good courses teach these skills to over 20,000 young people every year while empowering them to find and solve the environmental, social and community problems that mean the most to them.
“We’re very grateful that Big Bee Content has decided to support young people this year. 2021 is going to be another tough year for young people, but thanks to the support of companies like Big Bee Content, Apps for Good will be able to support them with learning in the classroom and at home.”
If we’ve learnt anything from 2020, it’s that community is what matters. That’s why Big Bee will be focusing on building supportive relationships for a brighter future in 2021. Get in touch if you’d like to work with us.
