Announcing the launch of the Big Bee Hive – a content collective that’s ready to make a buzz.
When I launched Big Bee earlier this year I wasn’t 100% sure of what direction it would take, but I knew it wouldn’t be a completely solitary affair. I’ve been busy making a buzz by myself, but bees don’t work solo for long – they’re a symbol of lively, social, productive communities.
That’s also the thing about content professionals: We have individual talents, but we work collectively to create beautifully-formed products. Websites, for example, need developers, copywriters, graphic designers, photographers and social media experts to work in harmony. Yes, some skills are shared, some are utilised from a distance, but we all lean on each other from time to time to get the job done.
A network of creatives as trusted partners
That’s why I’ve launched the Big Bee Hive – a content collective sharing our skills and expertise and providing a community of trusted content partners ready to help deliver projects whenever needed.
Big Bee launched at the start of a pandemic. Before Covid-19 I may have been tempted to be greedy with my business, to make it mine all mine. But if there’s one thing I have learnt from lockdown, it’s the power of community. If we all look out for each other, we will get through.
So it makes me ridiculously happy to announce this collective of hardworking solopreneurs, because together we can prosper for ourselves and our clients. Within our ranks we have:
- Copywriters
- Graphic designers
- Videographers
- Photographers
- Social media experts
In short, we can conquer just about any content challenge you could lay down.
I’ve worked in content teams for 15 years – from newsrooms to digital experience teams – and the tie that binds them is the enthusiasm and drive that all content professionals have. We’re passionate because we love what we do. Creativity compels us.
Discover the creativity that buzzes in our Hive as I announce each member on the Big Bee Facebook page over the coming weeks. I’m so impressed with all of their unique skills. I’m sure you will be too.
